I lived in Kansas and Massachussetts

I was in Boston and in Maine

I travelled England and even Scotland

I was in Sweden and in Spain

 

I was in Belgium and in Denmark

I致e been in Russia and in Greece

I even wandered in Northern Finland

but all this places never pleased

 

Cause I just need to be back in Ireland

where all the flowers are so sweet

I love the green hills and the black beer

and this is all I ever need

 

I知 a gypsy and I知 a sailor

I am a gambler and a thief

but in my poor heart I知 always aching

for the taste of Irish beef

 

I am a hunter I am a boatman

I am a soldier I知 a priest

I am a gunman down there in Texas

but deep inside I知 feeling green
